Icon TiMax 2 Mesh Jacket

This style jacket is sold in men’s “alpha” sizing. The jacket runs pretty true to Icon’s published sizing chart (shown below), but their size chart runs a bit small as compared to most other brand name jackets… I’d say about 1/2 size. If you are sometimes between sizes, I’d recommend choosing larger and if you are unsure of your sizing, measure your chest and belly with a tape and choose a size from the chart:

The TiMax 2 mesh jacket is idea for summer. The mesh shell material allows the wind to blow through. This style come with a full sleeve removable thermal liner which extends the temperature comfort range for use on cool mornings or mountain passes. The armor system on the shoulders and down the back is made of a series of semi-rigid foam pieces that are covered in a sturdy nylon abrasion resistant fabric. The fabric has a weave of titanium thread also. I can’t imagine the titanium thread gives much help in terms of abrasion resistance, but it does give a neat look to an otherwise ordinary black fabric. The armor pieces are assembled in an overlapping series that gives you complete coverage, but with flexibility. On top of all that are the signature titanium plates. The elbows have more traditional removable CE armor pieces. The front of the jacket is sharp with the “anatomical” look in the abs region. Overall the jacket is comfortable and is an easy fit.
