Sizing Information
To determine your size, you need to take a waist measurement up high on your hips. For a good fit when sitting, these pants are high waisted, so the pants will ride just below the navel (rather than low on the hips like jeans). Many men will find that their waist measurement at this point will be a bit bigger than at the hips. Use the following waistband sizes for selection:

Our Two Cents
The Traveler pants are excellent leather sport pants. They are made from the same heavy duty leather Vanson is famous for so they’d provide an excellent degree of abrasion protection in case of a fall. They have a three point zipper connection to Vanson jackets (most recent jacket designs have the mating three zippers). Another feature… the adjustable waist which complements their line of adjustable waist sport jackets. With garments that last many years, it’s nice to have a feature like this. You can adjust the waist size to fit regardless of whether you’ve added or lost a few pounds around the middle. The waist adjustment is accomplished with a clever buckle arrangement on each side of the waistband above the hand pockets. As you expand or contract the waist opening size, the Cordura material of the hand pocket takes up the slack (take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to get a close up). The construction of the side pocket also serves to help the pants crease at the right spot while sitting—an added bonus to the construction. If you ride in moderate to cold weather you’d want the warmth and wind blast protection of solid heavy leather. For mild to warm weather riding, consider the perforated version of these pants. The ankles of the pants are tapered below the calf and are designed to be worn inside riding boots. They will also work over lace-up boots (if they are not too bulky).
Optional Vanson Armor: This Vanson pant is “armor ready” which means it has an access zipper to install Vanson armor in the hips and knees. We offer three types of armor for the knees and “street” style armor for the hips.
